Claims Triage Analyst:

Essential Job Functions:
This position is responsible for supporting the Excess Casualty and Excess Construction teams. The work activities include:
- Work with claim management to conduct initial triage of incoming claims to determine complexity for proper segmentation and assignment of the file.
- Proactively monitor excess claims to assess potential impact to Starr coverage.
- Issue acknowledgment and positional correspondence as warranted
- Communicate with insureds and brokers regarding status of claims.
- Process payments in Starrs Claims platform
- Produce Loss Runs for internal and external partners
- Create, run, and distribute reports as needed
- Research policy and client information in Starr systems.
- The candidate must have experience in the insurance industry and the ideal candidate will have experience in the casualty line of business, and a desire to rise within a claims organization.
- Two-to-four years of claims experience, an adjuster’s license is preferred. Licensing needs are not a day 1 requirement but it must be pursued shortly after.
- A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but will also look at relevant job experience.
- Must have experience with a claims case management system and understand the claims lifecycle
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Must be service oriented.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Salary : $52,000 - $75,000
