What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at Starr Staffing LLC?
Hours are Monday-Friday 7am-4pm and Occassional Saturdays
- Adjusting equipment to repair or replace defective parts
- Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using testing equipment
- Cleaning or performing maintenance work
- Inspecting the lighting systems of automobiles
- Test-driving automobiles to evaluate their performance
- Carrying out preventative maintenance on service trucks
- Keeping detailed records of all vehicles that they service
- Performing diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults
- Analyzing diagnostic test results and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components
- Providing service to customers while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments
- Installation with the help of proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning
- Check out trailer and lights to ensure they are working properly
- May need to perform an oil change
- Check tires on all trucks
- Assist with any other duties
