Industrial Engineer

Job Description

You will perform Time Studies design products, create test conditions, procedures, methods, and tools / scripts for verification / validation of the company's products all the way to production.

Key Responsibilities :

• Will be required to be Hands On even on the Production Floor
• Design / Specify weld fixtures, tools and machines used to manufacture products.
• Review production equipment, hardware, and tooling; make recommendations for repairs or replacement.
• Oversee the development of new processes, methods, and production controls.
• Install new equipment and ensure that it operates correctly; train others to operate new machinery.
• Update equipment when product design changes are implemented.
• Review changes and product improvements with customers
• Prepare operations manuals for new or existing equipment.
• Work with engineering and quality to certify tools and equipment meet engineering and FMVSS specifications.
• Maintain documentation for fixtures, tools, and machines.
• Maintain knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; apply this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes
• Time Studies
• Knowledge and experience in GD&T, DFMEA, DVP, APQP and other engineering tools
• Experience with Solid Works 3D & 2D CAD
• Experience interpreting FEA results
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Experience with determining manpower requirements
• Experience with production floor layout and flow using CAD or similar software
• Weld cell efficiency improvements
• Alot of time will be spend out on the production floor
