What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Auditor position at Starr Staffing LLC?
1st Shift 5:45am-2:30pm Monday-Friday (Expect to work Overtime)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Expected to take initiative and be proactive.
- Able to read and understand shop orders, production schedules and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Meet and exceed Company's expectations (safety, quality, productivity).
- Identify and separate nonconforming parts (defective).
- Report issues to maintenance as needed and make supervisor aware.
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Housekeeping (5S) throughout and end of shift.
- Must be punctual.
- Other duties as required.
- Assist in resolving quality related issues.
- In-process audits
- Read blueprints and drawings.
- Handles floor quality issues.
- Monitors internal quality checks and current corrective actions.
- Utilize hand held gages, tape measures and rulers to conduct part and fixture studies.
- Perform measurement system studies for component and assembly gages.
PPE Requirements
- Safety glasses and hearing protection is required and provided.
- Safety shoes are required
Language Skills
- Basic understanding of English language.
- Bilingual is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. repetitively.
- Must be able to stand the entire shift.
- Position requires bending, stooping, stretching and reaching.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills.
- Self-starter and well organized.
- Should be able to work well in a multicultural environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Basic knowledge of computer use.
- Flexible to perform multiple job functions and duties.
- One to five years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with Welding, Cut & Sew and Upholstery.
- Training in Quality disciplines including Corrective Actions, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Print Reading preferred.
