What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at Starr Staffing LLC?
2nd Shift Available
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Expected to take initiative and be proactive
- Able to read and understand shop orders, production schedules and follow written or verbal instruction
- Meet and exceed expectations (safety, quality, productivity)
- Identify and separate nonconforming parts (defective)
- Report issues to maintenance as needed and make supervisor aware
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations
- Housekeeping throughout and end of shift
- Must be punctual
- Other duties as required
- Assist in resolving quality related issues
- In-process audits
- Read blueprints and drawings
- Handles floor quality issues
- Monitors internal quality checks and current corrective actions
- Utilize hand held gages, tape measures and rulers to conduct part and fixture studies
- Perform measurement system studies for component and assembly gages
PPE Required:
- Safety glasses
- Hearing Protection
- Steel-toed shoes
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. repetitively.
- Must be able to stand the entire shift.
- Position requires bending, stooping, stretching and reaching.
