JOB SUMMARY: The Transportation Aide is responsible assisting in transporting clients to off-site community resources as determined by the crisis team, as well as other transportation assignments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education High School graduate or equivalent required. Experience Preferred one (1) year of direct service experience with the mentally ill. License or Certification Valid California Drivers License and clear DMV printout. Specialized Skills Necessary skills include the ability to work independently with limited supervision. A willingness to fluctuate scheduled work hours to accommodate transportation needs. Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with mentally ill clients, other staff and the public. Physical Requirements Ability to visually and audibly assess client’s behavior and needs.
