We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team at Start Early. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced teachers to create a vibrant and engaging classroom environment that supports the educational and emotional growth of young children.
As an Assistant Teacher, your responsibilities will include collaborating with teachers to develop individualized education plans, creating a stimulating classroom environment, and assisting with lesson planning. You will also schedule and conduct parent-teacher conferences, build relationships with families, and adhere to relevant regulations and policies.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering positive self-images and experiences of success for all children. You will also have strong communication skills and the ability to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
A minimum of one year of experience in an early childhood setting is required, preferably with knowledge of Head Start/Preschool for All programs. A Gateway's Level 3 Early Childhood Education credential is required within one year of employment, and a Paraprofessional Educator License is required within three months of hire.
