Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or GED with six semester hours of child development coursework or a non-expired CDA Certification and one year of experience working in an early childhood or childcare program.
- Gateway's Level 2 Early Childhood Education credential is required within one year of employment, Infant/Toddler CDA or Preschool CDA, Food Handler Certification, First Aid and CPR preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an early childhood setting, ideally with knowledge of Head Start/Preschool for All programs.
- Preferred knowledge: Creative Curriculum, Coaching to Fidelity, Teaching Strategies GOLD, ITERS/ECERS and CLASS, and Child Developmentally screening and assessment tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
