Job Overview:
As the Childcare Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare center, manage a team of caregivers, and ensure that the program is in alignment with our faith-based mission. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience in early childhood education, and a deep commitment to nurturing children's spiritual, emotional, and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the childcare staff, providing training, mentorship, and support.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and health & safety standards.
- Cultivate a loving, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere that reflects our faith-based principles.
- Work closely with families to build strong, trusting relationships and offer support and resources.
- Manage budget, staffing, and scheduling to ensure the program runs smoothly.
- Oversee child assessments and ensure individualized care for each child.
- Regularly communicate with parents regarding their child’s development and progress.
- Knowledge of The Early Learning Coalition policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Active Directors Credential with VPK endorsement.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a childcare or early childhood education setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices in childcare.
- Experience with faith-based or Christian programs is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check clearance.
