RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in carrying out the responsibilities of the Clinical Director-Administrator as directed.
- Relates to such matters as correspondence, reports, and records; makes appointments, screens visitors and telephone calls, reads and routes incoming mail; locates and attaches appropriate files or records to correspondence to be answered by Clinical Director-Administrator; composes and routes routine correspondence; files correspondence and records; prepares confidential and special reports including periodic statistical reports; attends staff meeting and records minutes; may train clerical staff; makes decisions on minor and administrative matters; devises new procedures, schedules activities, and supervises and coordinates the work of clerical personnel.
- Conducts administrative (non-clinical) aspects of new patient admission.
- Completes all voter registration applications for new admissions.
- Completes new Medicaid and Public Assistance applications.
- Collects and records Fee-For-Service payments.
- Counts and monitors Client Contact Sheets and submits them to the Clinical Director-Administrator daily. Routes to the Data Entry Clerk for computer input.
- Assists with the Medicaid Transportation reimbursement process.
- Ensure that you meet or exceed the agency's existing performance standards for yourself and your functional unit (e.g. clinic, program, etc.) in the domains of regulatory compliance, financial accountability (or productivity), quality, and satisfaction of patients, adolescents, or others served by START.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in any healthcare or business management field.
- At least two years of experience as an administrative assistant is preferred.
- Must be computer-literate and must know Microsoft Office applications.
- Must possess good organizational and interpersonal skills and have adequate knowledge of office equipment.
- Highly organized with an attention to detail.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
