Who We Are
Starting Strength Gyms exist for one reason: to make people strong. There are dozens of fitness products on the market, but none that can reliably make people of all ages significantly stronger in a short period of time. Strength is at the center of our physical existence since it’s the means by which we interact with our environment and the process of acquiring strength has a profound impact on both quality of life, along with physical, mental, and emotional health. We do important work.
Our job is to bring Starting Strength to the general public, with the highest standards of quality and execution. The decisions we make affect the health, safety, and happiness of our Members. We take this role very seriously.
We are a small team and we work hard to support each other in our roles. Being happy at work isn’t just important, it’s fundamental to how we do business. Team members at Starting Strength Philadelphia selflessly dedicate themselves to each other and to our mission. We put each other first, so we can work together to focus on the Member Experience. We know that this will keep Members happy, loyal, and anxious to refer friends and family. And happy, loyal Members make for a successful gym.
The formula is simple. Produce work you’re proud of, as quickly as possible. Support your team. Focus on the Member Experience. Enjoy yourself and do your best to make your interactions with others positive and valuable.
