Role
The Account Specialist, reporting to the Director of Sales, with a dotted line to the Key Account Manager, is responsible for development and coordination of account activities to support the daily and annual needs our key customers. This position is hourly, non-exempt.
Responsibilities
- Analyze past or present customer schedules.
- Ensure that an open communication system is available where all stakeholders are informed of any changes to the schedule.
- Create and validate accuracy of customer Sales Orders for all products SRWP supplies using schedules obtained online and schedules sent via email.
- Retrieve and save all POs, orders, final plans, and selections.
- Differentiate between multiple customers in order to schedule the appropriate products for each customer.
- Responsible for keeping the schedule live and verifying key dates
- Communicate directly with construction supervisors to obtain scheduling and delivery information
- Act as an initial point of contact for inquiries and customer-service related questions in order to direct calls to the appropriate department
- Create initial cabinetry layout and design using design software as needed
- Act as a point of contact for delivery services
- Be able to communicate effectively regarding customer design needs and facilitate design changes as necessary.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of three years experience in customer service or account service/sales support roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees and external customers
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook); 2020 Design or similar cabinetry design software experience is helpful.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions
- This position is in an office environment, however occasional travel to offsite or construction site locations is possible
- May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking up stairs or on uneven ground
- May require use of computer, fax machine, copy machine, and other office equipment
- This is an onsite role so must be within a commutable distance from Mendota, IL
- Local travel for customer service and company meetings
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
