JAWS Associate

We are looking to hire an Associate for our Family Office. The primary areas of active investment include public equity, private equity, and venture capital, and fund investments.  All investments employ a fundamental, strategy and seek to find inefficiencies in the markets where high, risk-adjusted returns can be achieved.  The size and structure of the team and balance sheet will enable this individual to immediately access a high level of responsibility and the unique opportunity to work directly on new investment ideas and opportunities and with current portfolio companies. 

 Responsibilities:

• Work directly on and manage new investment ideas and opportunities as well as manage current portfolio companies;
• Responsible for evaluating new private equity and venture ideas;
• Negotiate transactions and model cash flows;
• Develop an opinion and recommendation on individual investments and broader strategies;
• Conduct and monitor due diligence;
• Individual will earn ability to source and recommend their own deals;
• Domestic and International travel should be expected.

Requirements:

• Superior analytical, quantitative, and technical skills;
• Strong academic background, preferably in finance or accounting;
• 3 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking or Private Equity;
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail;
• High character & strong representation of the Family Office brand in offsite meetings/ conferences;
• Strong judgement and decision making skills;
• Experience in managing, updating and analyzing large quantities of data;
• Ability to manage and effectively present information;
• Strong business writing and communication skills;
• Interest in venture, growth, private equity required;
• Bachelor’s Degree from a top institution.
