The STARZ Program Planning and Reporting team is seeking an Intern for the summer of 2025. Programming sets the short term and long-term strategy for the entire Starz platform; we are responsible for maximizing and elevating all of our forms of content and at all times are striving to help grow the business.


This intern will be working with the Programming team in Colorado to maximize utilization of our content on non-linear and linear platforms to provide optimal engagement from our primary audience cohorts.


Responsibilities

  • Research movies for studio library and independent deal acquisition ranks.
  • Screen content, evaluate and identify movie and series content appropriate for our target demographic.
  • Develop monthly programming schedules with a focus on viewership, content utilization, demographic appeal, and consumer viewing habits.
  • Learn promotion and marketing strategies for upcoming programming.
  • Create and present recommended plan for holiday programming.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Studying towards a degree in Film, Television, Broadcasting, or similar field.
  • Working knowledge of Google office documentation, and database applications.
  • Interest in films, tv series, and the broader entertainment business
  • Candidate should be prepared to develop and present a plan for holiday programming.


Compensation Data

The pay rate for this internship is $20/hr.

Important Dates

The STARZ Summer 2025 Internship program dates are: June 9, 2025 – August 15, 2025


All interns are required to attend orientation on Monday, June 9, 2025.


Details

  • Internship will be a hybrid schedule with Monday-Thursday onsite and Fridays work remote
  • Regular business hours are 9 AM – 6 PM Monday-Thursday and Friday 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
  • Must be actively or recently enrolled (within 6 months of internship start date) in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate degree during the length of the program
  • Interns must be current rising juniors through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date)
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
