Job Summary:
Starzi Brothers Excavation & Concrete Contractors is looking for an experienced Equipment Operator to join our growing team. This role involves operating heavy machinery such as excavators, skid steers, and backhoes for excavation, grading, and site preparation on residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities
- Safely operate excavators, skid steers, backhoes, and other heavy equipment.
- Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling tasks.
- Load and transport materials, debris, and aggregates as needed.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and minor maintenance.
- Follow site plans, dig specs, and grade elevations with accuracy.
- Assist with manual labor when required to support the crew.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating excavation equipment.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of job site safety practices (OSHA 10 certification is a plus).
- Ability to read site drawings and grading stakes.
- Physically capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
