- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services.
- Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding to accurately document procedures.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
- Document all interactions and maintain accurate records of authorization requests.
- Follow up on pending authorizations to ensure timely responses from insurance providers.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve any issues related to authorization denials or delays.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices.
