Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Cultivation Technician to join our team. The Cultivation Technician will work closely with other team members to maintain high standards of plant health and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and heavy equipment used in the cultivation process.
- Assist in the irrigation of plants, ensuring proper water supply and nutrient delivery.
- Supervise and train junior staff or interns in cultivation techniques and safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on cultivation equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor plant health, identifying any issues related to pests, diseases, or environmental factors.
- Implement best practices for soil management and plant care.
- Maintain accurate records of cultivation activities, including planting schedules, growth progress, and harvest data.
- Assist with animal care as needed within the cultivation environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a gardening or agricultural setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance is a plus.
- Experience supervising staff or interns in a cultivation or farming environment is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of irrigation systems and techniques for maintaining optimal plant growth.
