As a Loan Review Specialist, you will be integral to our lending operations, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of loan documentation throughout the loan lifecycle. Your role involves conducting thorough initial and post-closing reviews of loan documents, including underwriting, lien perfection, and regulatory compliance. You will also perform regular compliance monitoring and communicate findings to the Compliance Manager, escalating issues when necessary. Providing exceptional customer service through professional and responsive communication with internal employees is essential. Additionally, you will conduct periodic reviews of existing loans to maintain accurate risk ratings and support the continuous improvement of our loan documentation processes. This position is in-office and is not a remote work opportunity.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform Initial and Post Closing loan reviews relative to credit policies and procedures. This includes reviewing underwriting, loan documentation, lien perfection and regulatory compliance.
- Perform periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) compliance monitoring and communicate results to Compliance Manager, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Provide great customer service through friendly, professional, and responsive communication with internal employees.
- Perform quarterly and annual reviews of existing loans to ensure accurate risk ratings.
- Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- 1 years banking experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance from an accredited four-year college or university
- Must pass a credit & background check
- High School Graduate or (GED)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 plus years’ experience working for a bank or financial institution
