Summary Of Position
The Loan Operations Representative must be a creative thinker and proactive problem solver with a history of working efficiently and effectively, meeting deadlines, and following projects through to completion. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision while delivering the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers. Must maintain the highest level of discretion and management of confidential and sensitive information. Assists with training new team members.
Essential Functions
- Monitor and answer inquiries coming into the Loan Operations e-mail box and telephone line.
• Receives and reviews incoming loans for boarding.
• Processes financial transactions and/or maintenance as required.
• Boards loans of all types (Commercial, Consumer, and Mortgage Loans) on Jack Henry system to ensure proper billing set-up
• Service Participation Loans
• Prepare SBA 1502 report on a monthly basis and troubleshoot when needed, assist 3rd party vendor.
• Supports the bank’s loan escrow processes.
• Maintains a working knowledge of unit policies, procedures, standards, and workflow.
• Will provide internal and external customer service.
• Performs initial collateral perfection activities.
• Review executed documents to identify any exceptions; follow up on trailing documents (recorded mortgages, final title policies, UCC Continuations, auto titles, etc. )
• Train new staff in processes and procedures
• Assist in the maintenance of department procedures including updating compliance.
• Support Loan Operations Manager with special projects, conversions, and new vendor support.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Assists other areas of the Bank, when necessary
• Follows all State Bank customer service standards.
• Participates in the bank-wide referral program.
Qualifications
High School education with some college preferred. Possess an understanding of financial institution products and services with an emphasis on Commercial loans. A minimum of three years of previous loan operations experience is recommended. Knowledge of commercial loans and/or SBA will be a benefit. Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. Previous customer service experience and a positive work ethic are required.
