Summary:
Responsible for providing excellent customer service, hiring, development of team members as well as merchandising and inventory control.
Responsibilities:
*Hire, develop, coach, and train a staff of team members inclusive of Assistant Store Manager where applicable.
*Direct, train, and supervise store team members in maintaining the highest level of presentation and visual standards consistent with The Goellner Group and SalonCentric brand.
*Creates a hands-on supervision environment that emphasizes sales floor management, customer service, and sales generation.
- Actively work towards monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
*Effectively communicate and enforce company policy and procedures:
- Dress code
- Company Handbook & Policies
- Time clock and staffing procedures
*Always maintain proper staff levels by adhering to sales-based labor model.
*Maintaining sales and labor goals with effective and exceptional customer service, merchandising, and team member management.
- Direct assignments regularly and hold staff accountable for assigned duties.
- Maintain morale of staff to ensure positive customer experience.
- Regularly meet with each team member to evaluate their performance.
*Conduct full inventory cycle count quarterly with spot checks done consistently as needed.
- Responsible for keeping adequate inventory to minimize lost sales.
*Create bi-weekly or monthly schedules.
- Responsible for staffing store during all open hours. Any uncovered hours are the manager's responsibility.
*Resolve customer questions and concerns to the best of your ability. If you cannot resolve this, contact your DM immediately.
*Maintain store’s physical appearance by adhering to the Store Standards Checklist.
- Franchise stores must comply with all visual directives and guidelines.
- Displays must be full, shoppable, and merchandised including price/promotion clearly marked.
- Stores must be clean, aisles must be clear of any debris, etc.
- The back room and bathroom(s) must be clean and properly maintained at all times.
*Attend and participate in sales and management training meetings and events as directed by management.
Bonus Requirements:
Minimum hours worked per week
Percentage of growth as decided by Leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales management and team leadership
- Strong skills in inventory management and control
- Proficient in using POS systems and cash registers
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to negotiate and manage employee relations
- Experience in recruiting, payroll, and bookkeeping
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
