Serve as a subject matter expert for system development activities and projects related to Cash Receipts operation activities.- Responsible of daily, weekly, and monthly cash receipts related reports completed and submitted as timely and accurately.
- Research, analyze, and correct the discrepancies between general ledger and bank statement of Cash Receipts account and reconcile the account monthly.
- Prepare procedures and guidelines for the unit to reflect current processing with fiscal control and security as a primary basis.
- Prepare training materials and provide the informational & educational presentations related to Cash Receipts functions.
- Review and assist the Cash Receipts staff and provide direction & guidance on day-to-day Cash Receipts operations.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance.
In all aspects of the performance of these duties, the incumbent will:
Maintain a safe working environment.- Defend State Fund against fraudulent activities.
- Take “ownership” of each customer contact to address needs and endeavor to meet State Fund objectives.
- Provide management and staff support and continuous improvement through analysis, recommendations, resolution, coordination and facilitation of operational issues and projects.

Desirable Qualifications
Education: Either
1. Equivalent to graduation from college, with specialization in accounting. or
2. Completion of either:
a. A prescribed professional accounting curriculum given by a residence or correspondence school of accountancy, including courses in elementary and advanced accounting, auditing, and cost accounting; and business law. or
b. The equivalent of 16 semester hours of professional accounting courses given by a collegiate-grade residence institution, including courses in elementary and advanced accounting, auditing, and cost accounting; and three semester hours of business law. Successful completion of the State Fund Accounting Course administered by the Department of Finance, shall receive credit for three semester hours toward the required accounting courses.
