State Fund’s Information Technology (IT) – Client Support Services Unit in Rohnert Park has an opening for an Associate Systems Administrator.
Under general supervision of the IT Supervisor I, the incumbent will:
- Provide quality customer service as the single point of contact to customers by managing call activity, service tickets, and assuming accountability for issues/inquiry resolution
- Administrate and maintain Windows Network Operating Systems, Active Directory, servers, network equipment, and telephone systems to meet site operational needs and systems goals
- Coordinate/provide technical support and training (educating) end-users and local program operations
Minimum Qualification:
- Eighteen (18) months IT Technician experience
- Two (2) years of IT Technical, analytical or computer systems or services experience
- Some experience may be substituted for education
Desirable Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of IT Technician experience
- Proficient knowledge of Windows Network Operating System, Windows Professional Desktop, Windows Exchange (server), Windows Outlook (desktop) and Active Directory
- Proficient knowledge of the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PC/LAN/WAN/Telecom/Mobile Devices
- Working knowledge of standard software and Internet applications
- Working knowledge of concepts used in network architecture (LAN/WAN)
- Ability to work independently and as a team with co-workers and management to address and resolve issues
- Working knowledge of client/server computing concepts
- General knowledge of project management principles
- Ability to keep current with respect to changing technologies
- Ability to solve technical problems with a minimal amount of information (even incorrect information)
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a changing environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivation, dependability, flexibility and the ability to work in a team environment
On-site physical requirements:
- State Fund has adopted telework for employees who can effectively perform their essential work functions remotely. However, this is an essential position where hybrid telework is available in conjunction with on-site requirements; where the selected candidate will report to their assigned location(s) on either a scheduled, rotational, or as-needed basis.
- The selected candidate must be able to meet the essential on-site requirements by the agreed-upon start date, this could require but is not limited relocation.
- State Fund is not considering relocation expense reimbursement for this position.
New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable. Placement to alternate salary range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.

Working Conditions
The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office with expenses for attendance paid by State Fund.
Telework may be available and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs
