About the Role:

State Department Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to support the Financial Analysis Manager by playing a pivotal role in the strategic financial planning and performance analysis at SDFCU. This position serves as a backup for key administrative functions within the Funds Management Department, including investments, budgeting, reporting and asset/liability modeling. The role ensures the credit union’s financial operations align with its strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and competitive positioning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in financial analysis or a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, and terminology
  • Experience with asset/liability modeling and budgeting
  • Strong data entry and analytical skills 
  • Advanced capabilities in spreadsheet and database software (e.g., MS Excel, MS Office)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively across all levels of management
  • Demonstrated team player mindset
