Duties Description The Practical Examiner is responsible for administering practical exams and objectively scoring examination procedures for Hearing Aid Dispensing applicants on behalf of the Department of State, Division of Licensing Services.
The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a New York Hearing Aid Dispensing Registration. Individuals must hold Licensure for a minimum of 5 years. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States; possess strong customer service skills; be able to work with people under stressful conditions in a calm and courteous manner; be able to stand and walk for the full duration of the exam; be able to lift and move up to 20 lbs.; have the ability to work a flexible schedule - examinations are held 4 or 5 times a year, the schedule varies based on demand.
Additional comments regarding the vacancy. Additional Comments Practical Examiners are compensated $85.00 per day; the number of days per month/year may vary depending on scheduling needs.
