Duties Description Office for New Americans (ONA) seeks an intern to assist with ONA program review and observations. • This intern will help with document preparation, initial voucher, and budget review. • Perform remote observations of services by attending virtual events and writing a summary of observations.• File and organize documents.• Check pre-qualification status on the Statewide Financial System (SFS), and check status on the vendor rep system. • Support the Office for New Americans in program review and oversight for its services located across the state.• Conduct initial reviewing of quarterly vouchers to ensure organizations receive reimbursement for the services rendered.• Conduct initial reviewing of budget variances submitted by the grantee.• Participate in the Office for New American's webinars, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Candidate must be a matriculated part time or full time Senior or Graduate Student at a school recognized by the New York State Education Department. Documentation of current matriculation and enrollment must be submitted with your resume, along with a writing sample.Preferred Qualifications• Interest in working with diverse cultures, particularly immigrant and refugee communities.• Ability to work independently.• Attention to detail.• Strong communication skills.• Strong skills with Microsoft products, specifically Excel and Word.
