JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, the Commercial Portfolio Manager is responsible for fostering strong relationships with commercial borrowers, ensuring the timely collection of financial documents, tax returns, and other necessary and critical information for loan files. Additionally, you will conduct annual reviews to assess the financial health of commercial loan borrowers. As part of your responsibilities, you will oversee and manage various staff who will report directly to you, ensuring collaborative efforts between relationship management, portfolio management, and credit analyses are maintained.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with commercial borrowers, serving as the primary point of contact for their financial needs.
- Coordinate with borrowers to collect and maintain up-to-date financials, tax returns, and other essential documents required for loan files.
- Perform detailed annual financial reviews of all commercial loan clients to evaluate financial stability, identify risk factors, and uncover potential growth opportunities.
- Ensure collaborative efforts between relationship management and credit analysis for a comprehensive understanding of client risk.
- Work closely with internal teams, including commercial lending, credit, and operations, to ensure seamless communication and efficient handling of Member related matters.
- Ensure that all borrower interactions and document collection processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Provide guidance to borrowers on documentation requirements and assist in addressing any queries or concerns they may have.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with borrower relationships, proactively addressing issues to mitigate any negative impact.
- Generate and analyze reports regarding client relationships, compliance of document collection, and outcomes of financial reviews to inform strategic decisions and operational improvements.
- Contribute to the enhancement of borrower management processes and procedures, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal departments such as commercial lending, credit, and operations to enhance communication and ensure efficient client service delivery.
- Lead initiatives to refine and optimize borrower management processes, enhancing operational efficiency and service quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in commercial relationship management, with a strong emphasis on strategic client engagement and financial documentation management.
- Thorough attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing diverse client portfolios and leading teams effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial documentation, loan processing workflows, and regulatory compliance in the banking sector.
- High level of professionalism and dedication, with a commitment to delivering exemplary client service and maintaining positive community relations.
- Proficient in using MS Office products and other software as applicable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrates excellent patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude towards staff, Members, and the general public.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation.
- Those in a leadership role are expected to participate in company meetings, community events, and similar engagements as ambassadors to the organization and its mission. These include voluntary and involuntary events that although ordinarily will be during business hours, does include weekends and evenings as announced.

Education/Experience:
- Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required, in addition to (7) plus years of progressive experience in commercial banking.
