Position Overview :
The QA Engineer II will ensure SECU systems and services meet quality standards and end user requirements. Working with a cross functional team of Project Managers, Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners and Developers QA Engineers will collaborate to understand new features while designing and implementing robust automation frameworks to continuously improve software products and reduce test cycle time. This position will serve as the quality champion on behalf of the delivery team ensuring our solutions and services are of the highest levels of quality while maintaining efficiency in our testing cycles.
Essential Responsibilities :
- 50 %) Perform testing as identified in the test plan Functional, System, Integrated, Regression, UI, API, Useability, Accessibility, Compatibility and Exploratory leveraging a combination of manual and automated methods. Analyze test results and produce reports on overall health of services / systems for operational readiness assessment.
- 20 %) Design, develop, and maintain automation framework and support of test automation efforts for assigned delivery team ensuring scalability and reliability of test assets.
- 10 %) Collaborate with delivery team to understand new features analyzing business and technical requirements for validity, completeness and testability as required to create corresponding test strategy and tests both manual and automated.
- 10%) Identify, report, and manage system defects and inconsistencies leveraging enterprise defect tracking solutions. Communicate finding to technical and non technical team members via defect reports and by leading defect triage meetings as needed.
- 10 %) Analyze test results and produce reports on overall health of services / systems for operational readiness assessment.
- 10 %) Continuously improve automation process and toolset including working with DevOps teams to incorporate test automation tools and processes into applicable CI / CD pipeline.
