Responsible for coordinating all the integral parts involved in ensuring events run efficiently and meet the stated organizational priorities. Their duties include conceptualizing theme ideas in collaboration with internal departments, planning budgets, booking venues, liaising with suppliers and vendors, managing logistics, and presenting post-event reports. As a planner they will be responsible for ensuring that events are kept on track by producing reports and using project management tools to keep other internal teams informed and on schedule. This position will provide event management support for SECU’s legislative meetings, Advisory Board roadshows, Annual Meeting, state employee events and member facing events, etc. and all internal meetings – Managers meetings, Financial Advisory Services meetings, etc.
Key responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives
- Manage a team of event coordinators and oversees all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, vendor selection, logistics, and execution
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure events are aligned with marketing, leadership, and departmental initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and partners to ensure successful events
- Ensure events are execute flawlessly, on time and within budget
- Monitor and report on the success of events, including attendee feedback, and make recommendations for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event planning and management
