PURPOSE :
This position is responsible for the protection of members, employees, assets, and SECU facilities from potential threats. The position will provide guidance related to the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of all Physical Security systems, including physical access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, and security guard administration. Individual will provide immediate response to robbery, bomb threat, active shooter, and incidents of workplace violence. The position will act as a liaison between Credit Union employees, vendors, and law enforcement agencies to help ensure organizational security.
DIMENSIONS : DUTIES :
- Project planning, coordination, scheduling, and implementation.
- Create, assess, and ensure compliance with security standards and procedures that align with industry standard practices.
- Review and approve comprehensive security plans for branches, operations centers, data centers, and ATM locations.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and provide support to technicians for hardware and proprietary system programming for physical access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform site visits to conduct risk assessments and surveys of sites’ infrastructures.
- Oversee and manage all installations and programming for systems within the department.
- Research, implement, and create cost analyses for new security technologies to assess their adequacy, effectiveness, and compatibility.
- Provide branch robbery, bomb threat, and active shooter training.
- Respond to robbery, bomb threat, and active shooter events.
- Develops and maintains a professional working relationship with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Ability to occasionally travel and stay overnight for various security response needs, projects, and conferences.
- Coordinate the response, assessment, and remediation procedures for instances of burglary and / or vandalization of SECU facilities.
- Be required to perform after-hours support on a rotational basis.
- Assess and respond to instances of workplace violence involving employees, members, and third-party vendors.
- Conduct analysis and reporting on designated areas and present to management.
- Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other measurable metrics to monitor against organizational benchmarks and objectives.
