What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data User Liaison Coordinator II position at State Fair Community College?
The IT Services Data User Liaison (Coordinator II) is to collaborate with the college community to determine areas of improvement in relation to data while serving as a liaison between IT Services and Strategic Services to develop data-informed solutions to business problems. This position will also maintain security in several applications and provide initial training for Banner and Reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Serve as a liaison between Information Technology Services (ITS) and Strategic Services
- Collaborate with college employees to determine areas of improvement in relation to data
- Maintain the Data Standards Manual
- Work with user community and IE/IR to develop data-informed solutions to business problems
- Access sensitive data on a routine basis for troubleshooting and data verification
- Work with functional areas and technical staff to configure Cognos to better support processes
- Serve as Banner Communication Manager (BCM) software lead
- Assign security access for Banner, Cognos, and Banner Document Management System (BDMS)
- Provide training (Cognos, Banner)
- Work with functional areas/departments on survey creation and provide results
- Troubleshoot student and employee account issues
- Manage call accounting changes/updates/reporting
- Serve as AdAstra (ReserveIt) administrator
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.
- Experience in in Banner, Cognos, and general reporting tools a plus
- 5 years’ experience in Information technology or data reporting
- SQL programming; knowledge of relational databases; experience with ERP systems, productivity tools (MS office, Teams, Smartsheet) preferred
EDUCATION:
Associate of Applied Science or Associate of Arts. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
PHYSICAL TASKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Work involves sedentary to light work in an office setting. There is frequent sitting, with walking, standing and stooping occasionally required. There is an occasional need to lift light objects (up to 10 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Cost per month to cover family: $54.24 for Plan 1 or $64.48 for Plan 2 coverage.
2. Additional life insurance is available to purchase for employee, spouse, and eligible children. Rate quotes are specific to age.
3. The cost for the basic additional life insurance plan is $1.58 per month for $10,000 spouse coverage and $2,500 dependent child coverage. This is a total monthly cost, regardless of the number of eligible dependents covered.

- 4 hours per pay period from hire date through 5 years
- 5 hours per pay period from 6 years through 15 years

There is no waiting period for holiday, vacation, and sick time, however; the
employee must have supervisor approval prior to using sick or vacation accruals.
Central Methodist University Tuition Waiver Scholarship: CMU offers a tuition waiver scholarship for undergraduate and graduate tuition charges for FT employees each term for online and on-ground courses held on the SFCC campus.
Spouse and dependent of FT SFCC employee may have undergraduate tuition charges (but not books, fees, or supplies) waived each term while attending CMU at SFCC.
Any spouse (but not dependent) of a FT SFCC employee shall have 50 percent of the graduate tuition charges (not books, fees, or supplies) waived each term while attending CMU at SFCC or online.
Employees may purchase LegalShield, which allows the ability to talk to an attorney on any matter without worrying about the high costs associated with legal counsel. LegalShield can be purchased for $7.48 per pay period for individual and $7.88 to add dependents.
