What are the responsibilities and job description for the Records Archive position at State Fair Community College?
The College offers associate of arts, associate of fine arts, associate of science and associate of applied science degrees, professional and skills certificates, and noncredit courses and programs, and workforce development training in a 14-county area in central Missouri with locations in Sedalia, Boonville, Clinton, Eldon, Lake of the Ozarks, Warsaw, Whiteman Air Force Base, and online.
Reports to: Registrar
- The Records Archive person will be responsible for scanning and indexing documents, and filing, as well as preparing documents to be entered into Banner (i.e. graduation applications, FERPA forms, transfer transcripts, test scores, etc.).
- A willingness to take on additional responsibility and work collaboratively, both within the Registrar’s Office and the Student Services unit.
- Other duties as deemed necessary for the function of the office and the College.
The preceding duties are examples of the essential types of work performed by positions within this job classification but are not all inclusive. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change, or rescind work assignments as needed.
Education/Experience:
- Must be eligible to receive Federal Work Study funds.
Skills:
- Be proficient in basic computer skills.
- High levels of organization and the ability to take direction are extremely important for this position.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to interact verbally in person, over the telephone, and via written and electronic media.
- Ability to move about campus and other locations.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Employment will require a criminal background check at College expense. Preference is given to Missouri residents.
