State Fair Community College is an accessible, learning-centered institution, enriching its students and community by providing skills, knowledge and perspectives essential for a changing world.
The student worker will:
- Assist people coming into the office
- Answer the phone and redirect phone calls when necessary
- Scan and index documents, provide support to financial aid advisors
- Check the mail
- Retrieve voicemail and return calls able to answer
- Restock handout display
- Work on various projects as needed.
The preceding duties have been provided as examples of the essential types of work performed by positions within this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind work assignments as needed.

This position is a part of the Federal work-study program, to qualify you must be a State Fair Community College student enrolled in the current semester and eligible for Financial Aid thorough the Federal Work-study program. The job is in a fast-paced environment that requires good communication, customer service and problem solving skills. Candidate will possess a working knowledge of computers, excellent oral and written communications skills, demonstrate student centeredness and be able to interact with a broad range of people with diverse backgrounds in a positive manner. Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the community college.
Employment will require a criminal background check at College expense.

If you do not qualify for Work Study, this position will be paid with department funds.
Student workers cannot work more than 17 hours a week.
