- Maintenance Supervisor
The State Fair of Louisiana, a 501(C-5) non-profit organization, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our buildings, grounds, and equipment. This full-time position involves after-hours work during the State Fair and other events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all building and grounds maintenance, including repairs, restroom upkeep, and equipment maintenance.
- Plan and schedule maintenance for all mechanical equipment across buildings and grounds.
- Supervise and prioritize building and maintenance projects with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Lead maintenance employees in a professional manner, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Manage inventory and order necessary supplies using the purchase order system.
- Support event operations, including setup and teardown of facilities for various functions.
- Ensure all facilities, including RV hookups, are maintained and presentable at all times.
- Utilize basic electrical and plumbing knowledge to address maintenance needs.
- Operate equipment such as lawn equipment, forklifts, trailers, boom lifts, and more.
- Handle additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Experience in building and grounds maintenance.
- Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems.
- Ability to operate maintenance and landscaping equipment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during events as needed.
