Position Title: Marketing Seasonal Assistant/Intern

Classification: Seasonal, Hourly
Pay Range: $12 - $14/hr (dependent upon experience)
Job Responsibilities
- Assist as needed in the offices of the Executive Vice President of Marketing and the Integrated Media Manager.
- Design and develop Oklahoma State Fair collateral materials.
- Write and edit press releases.
- Design and develop various print ads.
- Assist with various promotional activities during the run of the Oklahoma State Fair.
- Assist with Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube content, contests and promotions.
- Gather and create content, events, photo albums and videos.
- Handle website and blogging duties as needed.
- Any other tasks as deemed necessary by Integrated Media Manager and/or Marketing EVP.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Extensive knowledge of current social media platforms is preferred (i.e.: Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in creative writing preferred.
- Experience in writing and editing press releases.
- Basic knowledge of various design programs would be helpful.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Extended hours, nights and weekends may be required during peak periods.
- Frequent or continual movement from place to place with normal physical mobility, covering long distances with ease, managing assigned tasks throughout various indoor and outdoor locations within and around the property and in potentially inclement/severe weather conditions.
- Regularly lift, carry and put away items weighing up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and carry heavier items and/or assist others in lifting heavier objects, as job demands.
- Walk and/or stand for extended periods in addition to other prolonged physical exertions including seeing, hearing, reaching, grasping, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, crouching, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and tight areas may be required.
Additional Information – Work Schedule
- For students, flexible daytime hours can be arranged to accommodate class schedules until school ends in May, after which the employee must be available to work days, evenings and weekends, most particularly during the 2025 State Fair dates, September 11-21.

May, 2-3 weeks, 20 hours per week
June, 4 weeks, 20-32 hours per week
July, 4 weeks, 20-32 hours per week
August, 4 weeks, 20-32 hours per week
FAIR HOURS
September, 4 weeks, 20-40 hours per week
POST FAIR HOURS
October, 1-2 weeks, 20-40 hours per week
This will be a temporary, part-time and hourly position for employment encompassing the 2025 Oklahoma State Fair, September 11-21. No other benefits, except those required by law, apply. Applications will continue to be accepted until the position has been filled.
