Responsibilities

This program will offer you real-world experience in an Information Security environment. Your team assignment may provide you with the chance to collaborate on diverse offensive and defensive security technologies, utilizing coding to enhance security infrastructure, automate existing processes, and devise creative solutions that elevate our overall security posture. You will have the opportunity to influence change and help us deliver on our mission to protect State Farm and its policyholders. Qualifications

We Are Looking For The Following :

3.5 or above GPA preferred
Involvement in cyber clubs or organizations, formal or informal
Drive and initiative to lead and influence positive change
Curiosity to solve problems
Ability to thrive in a team environment, as well as work independently
A desire to work for State Farm upon graduation
A can-do attitude, and someone who loves to have a bit of fun!
Has a basic understanding of risk and compliance

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Java and / or Python, AWS / Cloud knowledge

Ability to demonstrate AI, Automation and Machine Learning interests is a plus

Internship Program Eligibility :

Present college students pursuing a major in Cyber Security, Computer Science / Engineering, Information Systems / IT, or a similar field of study.

Students who apply MUST be returning to school for at least one semester following the summer internship.

Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship.

Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity

What You Can Expect :

The internship will occur between May 19, 2025 - August 1, 2025

We will host in-person onboarding in Bloomington, IL

Hours : Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per week

Due to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.

Pay : $28.00 / hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend!

Work Arrangement :

Hybrid : Qualified candidates should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid environment.

HUB LOCATIONS : Bloomington, IL
