A Day In The Life Of A Chief Pilot, Req 10941

• Safely operates company aircraft on assigned flights
• Responsible for technical and flying standards within the department
• Responsible for the performance evaluations of all pilots
• Assists Flight Services Director (FSD) or Aviation Department Manager (ADM) with overall management of the Flight Department
• Report incidents in the Safety Management System (SMS) and may be involved in ensuring the effectiveness of changes to mitigate safety, as needed

We Are Looking for Candidates With

• Leadership experience preferred
• Knowledge of Bombardier Challenger 600 series aircraft and type rating
• Knowledge of aircraft purchasing
• College education preferred
• Required to obtain type rating on company aircraft requiring type rating within of employment
• Required to complete annual ground/simulator recurrent training for each type of company aircraft in accordance with FAR 61
• Required to remain current with respect to FAR 61
• Required to successfully complete State Farm line training
• Required to pass Class I Medical
• Required to complete Leadership Development - New Supervisor Series within one year of placement in the position
• Flight crew members are on call unless sick, on vacation or otherwise released from duty
• Travel on overnight trips may be required
• Additional duties may be assigned by Flight Services Director (FDS) or Aviation Department Manager (ADM)
• Performs additional duties as outlined in the State Farm Flight Operations Manual
