Responsibilities :
Convention & Travel provides event planning services to the Enterprise. We consult with business partners to plan high quality events that support business objectives. The Event Planner role is focused on coordinating the planning, set-up, organization, execution, follow-up and management of complex meetings and events.
Additional Expectations :
- Building trusted relationships between vendors and internal business partners through sharing information that enables remarkable interactions.
Establishes and maintains effective vendor and / or strategic business partner relationships that support Convention & Travel and / or enterprise goals
Consulting with business partners to recommend solutions that meet their needs.Understanding and adhering to Meeting and Events guidelines.Ensuring meeting logistics support the safety of attendees and objectives of the meeting.Documenting and updating meeting details on an ongoing basis.Updating an event management tool with current and accurate information in real-time.Recognizes the need for discretion and appropriate security measures when handling confidential and sensitive information
Reviewing all vendor invoices for accuracy and Financial Shared Services requirements.Maintaining all event documentation in electronic event files.Accountable for driving pace on strategic events and incentive travel by following work plans, collaborating with assigned Lead Analyst on budget and costing, reporting out during status meetings, and delivering weekly reports to leadership.Accountable for timely completion of post-event reviews to document success, lessons learned, and completed staff work on recommendations for future direction.Hybrid Work Arrangement : Bloomington, IL or Richardson, TX-CityLine Hub location only. Remote opportunities will not be offered. Relocation benefits will not apply.
Incumbency : The selected candidate will have a 12-month incumbency period in which requests for consideration outside Convention & Travel will not be supported.
This Event Planner role may require extensive international and domestic travel via commercial transportation or driving a motor vehicle of 100 days per yearQualifications : Desired Skills :
