Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning and sanitizing of various work environments, internal and external property, machinery, production equipment, production lines, tools, and parts. This includes supervising and leading the overnight sanitation crew, ensuring all personnel are trained on proper cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safety protocols.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in an applicable field (Food Science, Food Industry Compliance) and at least one year of experience in a hands-on food manufacturing or processing environment. Alternatively, three or more years of direct sanitation, quality, or production leadership experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment is required.
A high school diploma or GED is also necessary. Experience with industrial food manufacturing cleaning chemicals, knowledge of human and food safety, HACCP, and cGMPs are preferred. OSHA 10- or 30-hour training is also desired.
