What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insulation Installer position at State Insulation and Drywall?
Job Title: Insulation Installer
Pay Range: 16-42/HR.
Summary: Completes general labor responsibilities by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Load and unload insulation materials
- Complete prep work for installation, which may include foaming penetrations, caulking gaps, installing baffles, etc.
- Cut sections of batt insulation to the proper fit, and install in walls, ceilings, and floors, as required.
- Install mesh fabric (or netting)
- Load the blower machine with fiberglass and cellulose; regulate the flow of materials. Blow to appropriate depth/density.
- Install vapor and air barriers as needed.
- Use common hand tools such as knives, scissors, saws, and staple guns.
- Properly maintain equipment and tools
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure a clean job site.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Cover, seal, or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers, sealants, tape, or cement.
- Prepare surfaces for insulation application by applying adhesives, or by attaching metal pins to surfaces.
- Must understand the materials and what they’re used for
- Assists with assigned responsibilities such as operating equipment and performing general maintenance.
- Maintains supplies by receiving and stocking materials in designated areas.
- Lifts and carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
- Always maintains neat and orderly work areas.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
- Reports any problems or discrepancies to management.
