Legal Assistant
At State Law Firm our goal is to provide our clients legal representation that exceeds their expectations. Our firm handles personal injury and workers' compensation. We are constantly growing, and for that reason, we are in search of passionate people like us to add to our firm.
We are looking for a legal assistant to undertake a variety of tasks. You will work under the supervision of an attorney and will also provide support in assigned legal cases. This is position is ideal for someone who wants to grow within the firm and is excited to learn.
3 - 5 years of experience in Personal Injury law working either in a pre-litigation or litigation role is requirement to be considered. Your resume must clearly show you meet the years of experience requirement.
This is an in-office position. Working from home is not supported.
Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate
- Complete new client intakes
- Open new cases
- Write letters of representation and other case-related documents
- File correspondence and other case-related documents
- Request medical records and bills
- Update clients on a regular basis
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding time management and typing skills
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Writing skills
- Ability to grasp new information easily

- Bilingual (Preferably Spanish, Armenian or Tagalog)
