Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Technician to join our team. This role involves working with various equipment and systems, ensuring safety and efficiency in operations. The Gas Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of propane gas lines and gas systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform installations and inspections on copper, black malleable, and plastic gas lines and related equipment.
- Set and level propane tanks.
- Final connect and fire off related equipment (fireplace inserts, HVAC equipment, water heaters, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and repair gas lines and systems.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data analysis related to gas operations.
- Conduct heavy lifting as necessary while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Assist in the training of new technicians on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Experience
- Connecticut G2 or Massachusetts LP Installer license.
- Proven experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
