What You Will Be Doing

As a member of the Accounts Payable, PCard, or Travel team, this position is responsible for the accurate and timely:

  • Review and processing of invoices for payment.
  • Review and reconciliation of purchase card (PCard) transactions.
  • Review and processing of travel advances, reimbursements, and expense reports.


Our Organization, Mission, and Culture

Shared Services of Alaska (SSOA) delivers enterprise-wide management of financial transactions and back-office support for common administrative functions. The Accounting component within SSOA includes four key programs: (1) Accounts Payable, (2) Purchase Cards, (3) Travel and Expense Reimbursement, and (4) Aged Accounts Receivables and Debt Recovery. The work of this position directly contributes to SSOA’s mission to standardize and streamline business processes, reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance service quality.

The Working Environment You Can Expect

This position is offered in Juneau and Anchorage with an option of a hybrid telework schedule. Our offices are beautiful, modern, and are centrally located in the Anchorage Atwood Building and in the Juneau State Office Building.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of clerical work experience maintaining records that included using computer systems and performing basic arithmetic calculations.

Substitutions:
Successful completion of a formal vocational education program in accounting or bookkeeping will substitute for the required experience.

Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month).
