The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation is recruiting for Accounting Technician 1 located in Palmer!
What you will be doing:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations in the areas of accounting, travel, procurement, and payroll as well as providing general administrative support to the region. Region IV has four (4) area offices located in Palmer, Glennallen, King Salmon, and Dillingham which this position supports.

The working environment you can expect:
This position is located in Palmer. Daily work involves One Card and Invoice processing, personnel/hiring paperwork and assisting division employees with purchasing and travel questions and completing procurement documents.
Who we are looking for:
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe) and IRIS FIN/HRM.
- Excellent organizational skills, particularly of information stored electronically.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral.
- Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to prioritize workload
Minimum Qualifications
One year of clerical work experience maintaining records that included using computer systems and performing basic arithmetic calculations.
Substitutions:
Successful completion of a formal vocational education program in accounting or bookkeeping will substitute for the required experience.
Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month).
