What You Will Be Doing
The State of Alaska, Department of Administration, Division of Finance is seeking an experienced ERP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical teams and exhibit a fascination with emerging technologies.
The ERP Developer will be responsible for :
- Designing, developing, debugging and maintaining solutions, including reports, interfaces, and data structures to support State business and decision-making processes using technologies such as Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, .Net, IIS, PowerShell, Java, Python, SSIS, SSRS and Apache Tomcat;
- Engaging in research and development of capabilities using emerging technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) with systems like UiPath, test case automation, low-code business process management systems like Flowable and even Artificial Intelligence (AI);
- Write functional and technical specifications and develop prototypes and present to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
Analyst / Programmer 2
One year of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of the experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer system user support specialty.
Substitution :
A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester / (24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for all of the required experience. An associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience.
Special Note :
An applicant who is considered under the Substitution above qualifies to apply for this job class IF the applicable coursework is completed within three (3) months of hire. Under this option, an applicant may receive a conditional job offer; however, proof of completion will be required prior to final appointment and reporting for duty.
Individual positions at each level in this class series may require expertise in a particular area of programming or analysis. Recruitment and selection will be on the basis of these requirements.
For some positions in these job classes, a background investigation including fingerprinting is required.
