What are the responsibilities and job description for the Correspondence and Constituent Relations Assistant position at State of Alaska?
What you will be doing:
This position provides support in the Constituent Relations (CR) Unit of the Office of the Governor, with a primary focus on staffing the Governor's Juneau reception desk. Additionally, this position provides assistance with constituent inquires, light drafting and assists with special projects.

The working environment you can expect:
This position is located on the third floor of the Capitol Building in beautiful downtown Juneau. Our daily working environment is fast-paced and teamwork oriented. There may be some overtime required depending on the time of year and office needs.
We are looking for the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
• General understanding of proper telephone etiquette and customer service protocols.
• General knowledge of office procedures.
• Knowledge of office equipment including scanners, copiers, fax machines, printers, and Windows PC Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
• Good organizational skills.
• A courteous and professional demeanor; customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to adapt and function independently and cooperatively in a professional, fast- paced working environment.
• Discretion and independent judgment in evaluating information and understanding the ramifications of actions taken.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an upbeat group.
