Cybersecurity Operations Officer!
This position is in the General Government (GGU) bargaining unit at a range 22.

Special Note : While the position has been advertised nationwide, please note that it necessitates on-site work in Anchorage, Alaska, full time, to effectively collaborate with the uniformed members of cybersecurity and ensure optimal security operations.
What You Will Be Doing :
The Division of Administrative Services (DAS) IT Section is seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Operations Officer and Subject Matter Expert. Under the direction of the Department Technology Officer, you will be responsible for building, developing, and leading cybersecurity operations from the ground up for the State's Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. This role demands extensive hands-on expertise in security management of virtualized environments, compliance / standards adherence, and incident / threat response management. Applicants must have a proven track record of independently managing complex cybersecurity operations and must be ready to deliver immediate impact in securing DMVA's infrastructure and aligning services with department strategies and goals.

The successful applicants must pass a federal background check in order to qualify for military base access, which is required with this position's work location on base. The background check may include fingerprinting. All job offers are conditional pending successful completion of the federal background check and issuance of a Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS) card allowing base access. Also, you must be able to maintain the clearance throughout your employment.
