What You Will Be Doing:
Under the general administrative direction of the Commissioner, serve as the principal executive officer for the Division of Administrative Services. Provide leadership and management oversight for the efficient and effective delivery of all support services to all divisions within the Department of Administration and statewide. This position is responsible for oversight of the statewide rate development throughout the department and presenting the department's budget to the Legislature.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
We are located on the 10th floor of the State Office Building (known locally as the SOB) in beautiful, historic downtown Juneau, Alaska. Enjoy an office window cubicle that offers spectacular views of Douglas Island and Gastineau Channel. The incumbent can expect daily interaction with the fiscal staff and frequent interaction with department staff located throughout the state via teleconference, TEAMS, and in person.

Accountability: Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results. Determines objectives, sets priorities, and delegates work. Accepts responsibility for mistakes. Complies with established control systems and rules.
- Strategic Thinker: The ability to step back from the minutia of technical accounting and achieve larger organizational goals. This includes setting policies, long-term planning, prioritization, risk assessment and visualizing new opportunities.
