What you will be doing:
In the role of Eligibility Technician 3 (ET 3) with the Fairbanks Public Assistance Field Team, you will act as a lead worker, guiding and training staff, ensuring accuracy in eligibility determination, maintaining professionalism in client interactions, and handling various tasks. These tasks include managing caseloads, interpreting policies, and providing training and assistance to eligibility workers and supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of experience as an Eligibility Technician 2 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.

OR

One year performing similar work that developed knowledge and skills in applying program requirements to diverse situations, conducting interviews, and gathering information in order to obtain and verify information while working with client customers in stressful situations.

Substitution:
Post-secondary education in such fields as sociology, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, vocational rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, behavioral sciences, business, public administration, or accounting may substitute for the required experience (undergraduate credits: 2.67 semester/4 quarter hours = 1 month).

It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
