What You Will Be Doing:
As an Eligibility Technician 4, you will supervise staff & operations of an organized technical unit that determines eligibility & authorizes benefits for recipients of public & family assistance programs. You will also be the unit policy expert & be the primary contact with other units, management, & contractor service providers. You will use independent judgment & initiative to ensure the effective delivery of client services.

One year of experience as an Eligibility Technician 2 with the State of Alaska or its equivalent with another employer and one year of lead or supervisory experience in any job;
OR
One year performing similar work that developed knowledge and skill in leading staff that apply program requirements while working with client customers in stressful situations.
Substitution:
Post-secondary education in such fields as sociology, social work, psychology, counseling, human services, vocational rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, behavioral sciences, business, public administration, or accounting may substitute for the required experience (undergraduate credits: 2.67 semester/4 quarter hours = 1 month).Additional Required Information
At the time of the interview, please provide the following:
A copy of academic transcripts, to verify post-secondary education used to meet the minimum qualifications. (Unofficial are okay, please ensure that the institution name/URL is listed on the transcripts), if not already provided in the application.
Last two (2) years of performance evaluations, if available.
