Employment Services Manager 2 located in Ketchikan!

This position is in the Supervisory Unit (SS) at a Range 18.

What You Will Be Doing :

The Employment Services Manager 2 (Job Center Manager) is responsible for overseeing the delivery of employment and business services in the Ketchikan area, to include planning, organizing, scheduling and directing staff performing program functions. The position directly supervises 2 staff in the job center, setting task priorities, assigning and reviewing work, instructing, coaching and training staff while building a strong team. The incumbent works closely with local partners in the community to ensure that division and partner services under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) are available and accessible to Alaskans.

This customer service-oriented role involves extensive contact with the public to explain procedures, services, and / or requirements relating to employment services and training services provided through the Alaska Job Center Network.
